The Warmer Kiwi Homes grant now covers 80% of the cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation and in some areas, generous funding from community organisations means the cost to the homeowner is even lower for insulation. It’s designed to make insulation more accessible and affordable for homeowners who need it most.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for a Warmer Kiwi Homes grant, you will need to:

Be the homeowner (owner-occupier) of a home built before 2008, AND Have a Community Services Card or SuperGold combo card (with CSC endorsement).

OR

Own and be living in a home identified as being in an eligible area.

Warmer Healthier Homes Nelson, Tasman & Marlborough

Absolute Energy is the contractor for the Warmer Healthier Homes Nelson, Tasman & Marlborough insulation project, which provides insulation grants to eligible homeowners in Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough. More than 1500 homes have been insulated since the project started in 2014.

Who can apply?

Be the homeowner (owner-occupier) of a home built before 2008, AND Have a Community Services Card or SuperGold combo card (with CSC endorsement).

OR

Own and be living in a home in an area identified as lower-income.
