Duvet technology
Technobond polyester insulation is made by Ellis Fibre, one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers of duvets and furniture wadding. Made out of semi-rigid, lofted, spun polyester fibre roll, similar material to that which keeps most of us warm in our beds, Technobond suffers from none of the handling and respiratory issues commonly experienced with other home insulation products.
Semi rigid construction
Safe, non toxic and super easy to handle, and with its unique semi-rigid format providing a superior degree of structural integrity, Technobond insulation is ideal for using in traditionally challenging environments, such as underfloor. Where others flop, Technobond keeps its shape and stays in position stapled directly to your joists.
Durable
That same structural integrity, together with polyester's very high levels of durability, and moisture, mould and mildew resistance, also means that Technobond easily meets and exceeds New Zealand Building Code 15-50 year durability benchmarks. Technobond polyester insulation is EECA approved to use in retrofitting homes and also BRANZ appraised for use in new homes.
Range of widths
Available in R1.6 thermal value, Technobond exceeds the code requirement by 15% and is admirably suited to the South Island's sometimes frosty climate. With 3 different widths available, Technobond can accommodate varying joist sizes.
Professional installation
AbsoluteEnergy has a team of installers who have the knowledge and skills to install Technobond correctly and also have the ability and willingness to get into confined underfloor spaces.
